With the sun shining this week in London and the leaves on the trees again, it seems like it’s finally time to put the winter coats to the back of the wardrobe and start pulling forward our lighter spring/summer favourites.
As you may know my style tends to be rather classic and the colours I wear are mostly neutral. I’m always drawn to the navys, nudes, creams and white. Call it boring, i call it clean and simple. Of course sometimes i like to push the boat out and might go for the red dress or a bright summer bikini, but everything is relatively mellow on the colour palette.
It was therefore no surprise that this season, again, the show that pulled on my heartstrings was the Chloé show. I literally felt like it was my dream wardrobe. From it’s neutral colours, flirty fabrics, stripes, and not forgetting it’s feminine feel on the more tailored pieces, it all feels effortless and that to me is so sexy. It was the perfect spectrum of my two personalities – ultra feminine but also slight tomboy. Now you might be surprised to hear me say tomboy, but I’ve always loved a button up shirt, brogues, dungarees and even tailored trousers and blazers. And of course, in true Chloé style, they pulled off all these looks in an immaculate fashion!! When does Chloé not?
Now i’m obviously not telling you anything new by saying how dreamy Chloé is, but I’m here to show you the photos so that you can, like me, bear these photos in mind when you’re next on the high street!
Lets see what we can take from these photos and try to pick out what it is we like:
– sheer/floaty fabrics
– drop waist
– oversized and cuffed trousers
– hem length on the dresses
– slouchy suits
– cotton shirts and dresses
– leather strappy heels
– plain white t-shirts
So that’s it girls. Your mission, should you choose to accept – a Chloé wardrobe on a high street budget! Let me know how you get on…
From London with love,
